SOUTHWEST AMBUCS OPENS TABLE SALES FOR ANNUAL DERBY DAY AT AMARILLO BOTANICAL GARDENS
Amarillo, TX || Southwest AMBUCS is proud to announce that table sales are now open for its annual Derby Day event, set for Saturday, May 2nd at the Amarillo Botanical Gardens.
One of Amarillo’s most anticipated spring fundraisers, Derby Day brings the excitement and elegance of the Kentucky Derby to the Texas Panhandle. Guests will enjoy an afternoon of southern-inspired fun, including a live viewing of the race, themed food and drinks, entertainment, and signature Derby-style fashion.
This year’s event will feature reserved table seating only, encouraging groups, businesses, and friends to come together for a shared experience while supporting a meaningful cause.
Proceeds from Derby Day support Southwest AMBUCS’ work in the Amarillo community, including providing Amtryke therapeutic tricycles, building accessible parks and playgrounds, and funding scholarships for students pursuing careers in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and audiology.
“Derby Day is one of our favorite events of the year because it brings the community together in such a fun and impactful way,” says Landon Brantley, club president. “Every table purchased helps us change lives right here in Amarillo.”
Tables are expected to sell quickly and are available now at:

Attendees are encouraged to dress in their best Derby attire, think big hats, bow ties, and bold spring fashion and join Southwest AMBUCS for an unforgettable day of racing, philanthropy, and community spirit.

CINCO DE MAYO
Cinco De Mayo’s deeply rooted history in the Franco-Mexican War influenced Mexican-Mexican American communities in the early years of the American Civil War. In the early 1860s, as the Civil War erupted, these communities took up the banner of the Cinco De Mayo celebration as a way to commemorate the cause of freedom and democracy. Today, in the United States, Americans celebrate Mexican-American heritage and pride annually on May 5th. Learn more…
