U.S. military operations in Haiti, known as Operation Uphold Democracy, officially concluded in 1995 after restoring the democratically elected government of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide.
The Christmas in October Holiday Market in Amarillo, TX, is scheduled for Friday, October 24, and Saturday, October 25, 2025.
The event is a gift and craft show hosted by Sharing Hope Ministry at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex in the South Exhibit Hall
- Location: South Exhibit Hall, Amarillo Civic Center Complex, 401 S. Buchanan St., Amarillo, TX 79101.

- Friday, Oct. 24: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
- Saturday, Oct. 25: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Admission: Weekend admission is typically $8.00 at the door (Cash, Credit, or Venmo); children 12 and under are usually free.
- Highlights:
- Shopping: Over 100 unique booths featuring home décor, boutique clothing, jewelry, and handmade items.
- Bake Sale: Known as the largest bake sale in the Texas Panhandle, featuring decorated cookies, cakes, pies, and specialty mixes.
- Special Events: Past years have included a “Ladies Night Out” VIP shopping event and photo opportunities with Santa.

APRIL FOOLS’ DAY

NATIONAL TOM FOOLERYS DAY
April 1 is National Tom Foolerys Day on the National Day Calendar, and we are celebrating with harmless pranks, silly tricks, shenanigans, and, of course, tomfoolery. April 1 also happens to be the birthday of Tom Foolery, a character developed by Kalahari Resorts, home to America’s largest indoor waterparks. This is no April Fool’s joke! We are dedicating an entire day to celebrating the spirit of adventure, play, and a little bit of trickery, in all of us. #TOMFOOLERYSDAY
PASSOVER BEGINS
Every year, the spring festival called Passover is celebrated for 8 days. Traditionally known as a major Jewish holiday, many Christians have also begun to take part in celebrating Passover. The date of the festival is in accordance with the first full moon in the Hebrew calendar month, Nissan. For this reason, the date changes every year. #Passover
