NATIONAL GIRL SCOUT DAY
As part of Girl Scout Week, National Girl Scout Day on March 12th honors the history and legacy of Girl Scouting in America each year
NATIONAL PLANT A FLOWER DAY
Spring is just around the corner, and March 12th is the day to participate in National Plant a Flower Day. Each year this day is dedicated to the planting of flowers and looking forward to the spring season. Flower gardening has become a hobby for many, young and old, and National Plant a Flower Day is a start to the new season each year

National K9 Veterans Day is observed annually on March 13 to honor the service and sacrifices of military and working dogs throughout U.S. history. The date specifically commemorates the official founding of the U.S. Army K-9 Corps (the War Dog Program) on March 13, 1942
- Founder: The day was created by Joe White, a retired military working dog trainer and Vietnam War veteran, to ensure these four-legged heroes received proper recognition.
- Official Recognition: While it is not yet a federally recognized holiday, many states have officially proclaimed the day, and advocates continue to push for national status.
- Expansion of Scope: Although it began with a focus on military dogs, the observance now includes dogs serving in law enforcement, border patrol, search and rescue, and other national security roles.
