United Express & Market Street Express fuel stations kick off statewide donate-at-the-register campaign for Special Olympics
LUBBOCK, Texas — On Sunday, United Express and Market Street Express fuel stations will kick off a statewide donate-at-the-register fundraising campaign for Special Olympics, from May 25 through June 7.
As with past donate-at-the-register campaigns, guests of United Express and Market Street Express will be able to add any dollar amount to their bill at the register. All funds going to benefit the Special Olympics organization in their local area.
Special Olympics has a mission of providing year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in sharing gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other athletes and the community.
“We are excited to launch this fundraising campaign for the Special Olympics across our markets,” said Angelos Lambis, director of fuel and convenience for The United Family. “This organization makes a positive impact across our communities for so many people. During this campaign, guests can support the cause by simply adding a few extra dollars at checkout when purchasing their favorite coffee or fountain drink at any United Family convenience store.”
