Sunset Marketown is coming summer 2024! On Saturday mornings from June 8-September 28 we will be hosting an artisans/artists market alongside the Golden Spread Farmers Market. This is a great opportunity for local creators to share and sell their work to the public. Please complete an interest form if you are a vendor interested in having a booth. We will be sending out applications to interested vendors in March and notifying vendors in April. The Golden Spread Farmers Market will take place under the north colonnade and the artisans/artists market will be in the AJ Swope Performance Plaza. If you are a grower and interested in having a booth, please reach out to the Golden Spread Farmers Market via their Facebook page.

This is one in a series of American art
exhibitions created through a multi-
year, multi-institutional partnership
formed by the Arnon Carter Museum o(
American Art as part of the Art Bridges
Cohort Program.
This exhibition’ was originally orga-
nized by the Amon Carter Museum of
American art with objects from the Car-
ter’s expansive photography collection.
The current presentation was recon-
ceived as a team project with AMoA,the
Art Museum of South Texas, and Ellen
oel Art Museum The artworks tell a
story of American photographers’ ef-
forts, from the late 19th century on, to
explore and proclaim photography’s
artfulness.

The annual AMA-CON Convention,
presented by the Friends of the Amarillo
Public Library, is set to take place n
a.m. -7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 and 10
a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4 in the Ama-
rillo Civic Center.
Events fans can look forward to in-
clude cosplay contests, vendors offering
everything from comic books to steam-
punk jewelry, the annual Geek Prom, an
art show, sketch off, gaming tourna-
ments, demos, free play and more.
One- and two-day passes will be
available for purchase. AMA-CONstart-
ed in 2012 and has been growing ever
since, serving more than 25,000 con-
