The Area Agency on Aging of the Panhandle is offering Senior Planet classes from AARP to help older adults 60+ gain confidence with technology and learn new digital skills.
Our Digital Bootcamp is an 7-week series of free classes covering essential topics from using the internet, protecting personal information online, intro to AI, and using voice assistance.
We know that learning new technology can feel intimidating, but we’re here to make it easy, fun, and accessible! If you know an older adult who wants to build their digital skills, please send them our way.
Our next session, Protecting Your Personal Information Online, takes place Wednesday, July 2, at the Goodwill Career Resource Center (1904 Bell Street, Amarillo). This will cover the ins and outs of how to protect your personal information online. We’ll cover tips for staying safe in cyberspace, like safe browsing, how to recognize online scams, and when it’s OK — or not — to share your personal information online.
Encourage older adults to sign up today! Interested individuals can contact Anna Ojeda at 806-331-2227 to reserve a spot or to get more information on the available sessions.
